Scope and role

Industries · Construction and contracting
Websites for Dubai contractors, fit out firms and engineering companies that show finished projects properly, put prequalification documents one click away and route tender enquiries to the right person.
Who reads it
Most visitors to a contractor’s website are not browsing. They are a consultant checking whether you have delivered a similar scope, a procurement officer building a shortlist, a developer’s project manager confirming your credentials, or an engineer deciding whether to apply for a job. Each is judging risk.
That changes what the site is for. It is less a brochure and more a verified record: what you have built, what you are qualified to build, and how to start a formal conversation. A construction company in the UAE that makes those three things easy to find removes friction from every tender it is invited to.

Project portfolio
A gallery of hero photos looks impressive and tells a procurement team almost nothing. Each project entry should carry the facts an evaluator writes down.
Main contractor, subcontractor, fit out, MEP or design and build, with the scope described in a few plain sentences.
Residential, commercial, hospitality, industrial or infrastructure, and the community or emirate, so visitors can filter to what matches their project.
Built up area, floors or units where you can share them, and whether the project is complete or ongoing.
Named where your contract allows, described by type where it does not. A setting on each entry controls what is public.
Progress and completion photos together, which shows delivery better than a single render.
Every project has its own page, so a search for a building or community can lead to the contractor who built it.
Tenders and prequalification
A common problem we see is a contractor whose prequalification pack exists only as an email attachment someone has to find. Putting it on the website, with a light record of who took it, saves time on both sides.
The current versions of your company profile, organisation chart, trade licence summary and certificates in one downloadable library, replaced in one place when they are renewed.
For documents you prefer to track, a form asks for company, role and project, then releases the file and tells your business development team who is evaluating you.
Invitations to tender go to a dedicated form and inbox, separate from sales leads and job applications, with fields for project name, deadline and scope.
Conversion tracking at launch records downloads and tender enquiries as separate events, so you can see which project pages lead to real opportunities.
Health, safety and quality
HSE performance and quality management are part of how contractors are assessed. The website should show them accurately, because an evaluator may check.
Management system certificates, accreditations and memberships shown with the certifying body and validity, and removed when they lapse. We will not add a logo for a standard you are working towards but have not been certified against.
Your HSE policy, how inductions and site inspections work, and how subcontractors are managed, written with your HSE manager. Safety statistics appear only if you publish and stand behind them.
Different firms, different emphasis
“Construction” covers very different businesses in Dubai. The homepage of a main contractor and the homepage of a fit out studio should not look alike, because the people deciding to hire them are looking for different evidence.
| Business type | Who decides | What the homepage should lead with | Where the enquiry goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main contractor | Developers, consultants, procurement committees | Delivered projects by sector and scale, prequalification pack, HSE record | Tender enquiry form and business development |
| Fit out and interiors | Tenants, facility managers, designers | Finished interiors photographed well, sectors served, approvals experience you can describe | Project enquiry with site location and target handover |
| MEP and specialist subcontractor | Main contractors and consultants | Systems and trades covered, main contractors worked with where named publicly, certifications | Quotation request with drawings upload |
| Engineering consultancy | Developers and government clients | Disciplines, key people and their qualifications, landmark commissions you can name | Proposal request routed by discipline |
Careers matter for all four. Site roles and office roles attract different applicants, so a careers section that separates them, states locations honestly and routes CVs away from the tender inbox keeps both processes clean.
Development work
Our closest project to this sector is on the development side. Modon Holding is an international holding company headquartered in Abu Dhabi and listed on the ADX, building master planned communities. Its site has to hold the attention of investors and residents at the same time.
Contractors face a version of that problem. The same website is read by a developer’s procurement team, a consultant, a future employee and occasionally a resident curious about the building going up next door. A clear structure gives each of them a route without diluting the company’s credibility for the audience that awards contracts.

Most contractors start with our website design service or a WordPress website their team can maintain. A portfolio with filters and gated documents sometimes calls for custom web development. If you are unsure whether your current site can be saved, read the signs a website needs redesigning, and see our bilingual website guide for the Arabic side.
Straight answers
A filterable project portfolio, a page for each service or sector, a company profile and prequalification pack that procurement teams can download, HSE and quality credentials you hold, a tender enquiry route, and a careers page. We confirm the list with you in Discovery.
Yes. Documents can be open, or released after a short form that records the company and contact, so your business development team knows who is evaluating you. You decide which approach suits each file.
Many contractors work under confidentiality. A project entry can describe the sector, location, scope and scale without naming the client, and each entry has a setting for what is public. Only publish what your contracts allow.
