Website redesign in Dubai, without losing the Google traffic you already have

We start by telling you whether your current site needs a rebuild at all. When it does, we map every old URL, keep what already ranks and launch a site your team can finally update.

Repair or rebuild

The honest answer comes before the quote

Many Dubai businesses that ask for a redesign do not need a new website. They need a faster one, a clearer homepage or a navigation that makes sense. Others genuinely need to start again. This table is roughly how we tell the difference.

What you are seeingOften fixableUsually means rebuild
The site is slowOversized images, no caching, too many pluginsThe theme or platform itself is heavy and outdated
It looks datedNew homepage, typography and imagery on a sound structureEvery template is inconsistent and cannot be restyled cleanly
Few enquiriesUnclear calls to action, weak copy, no WhatsApp optionThe structure does not reflect what you sell today
Hard to updateEditors need training and a few new content blocksContent is hard coded and every change needs a developer
Broken on mobileA handful of templates with layout bugsThe site was never designed for small screens
No Arabic, or poor ArabicRarely a small fixRight to left support usually needs to be designed in

What we review first

The audit behind every redesign recommendation

Before recommending anything, we look at the evidence your current site already holds. A redesign that ignores it starts from zero on purpose.

Pages that bring traffic

Search Console and analytics show which pages attract visitors and which queries they rank for. Those pages are protected.

Pages with links

Pages that other websites link to carry authority. Deleting them without a redirect throws that away.

Speed and mobile issues

We measure real loading behaviour to separate problems a rebuild solves from problems a better setup solves.

Where enquiries come from

Forms, calls and WhatsApp clicks. If tracking is missing, we say so, because it changes how we judge the current site.

Protecting SEO

How we keep your search equity through a redesign

The most expensive redesign mistake is invisible on launch day. The new site looks better, but some time later organic enquiries have dropped because old URLs now return errors. Google’s guidance on site moves recommends server side permanent redirects from each old URL to its new one, and notes that 301 and other permanent redirects do not cause a loss in PageRank. We treat that mapping as a deliverable, not an afterthought.

  • A full inventory of old URLs, from the sitemap, a crawl and analytics
  • A redirect map pairing each old URL with the most relevant new page, never a blanket redirect to the homepage
  • Page titles, headings and content that ranked, carried over or improved rather than discarded
  • Internal links updated to point directly at new URLs, so visitors avoid redirect hops
  • The staging site hidden from search engines until launch, then opened up
  • New sitemap submitted and Search Console watched for crawl errors after launch

Easy to miss

Old links that live outside your website

Redirect maps usually cover the pages search engines know about. In the UAE, plenty of traffic arrives through links nobody remembers creating. List these before the old site is switched off.

  • Final URLs in Google Ads and Meta campaigns, which keep sending paid clicks to old pages until someone updates them
  • QR codes printed on brochures, property flyers, exhibition stands and menus
  • Links in email signatures, newsletters and automated email sequences
  • Your Google Business Profile website and appointment links
  • Directory listings, free zone company directories and partner websites
  • Links in social media bios and pinned posts
A redesign should add to what your old site earned in search, not quietly reset it.

How a redesign runs

Seven steps from audit to a stable new site

A redesign follows the same six stages as a new build, with extra steps at the start and the end that a new website does not need.

  1. Audit and recommendation

Traffic, links, speed, tracking and content reviewed. You get a clear recommendation: repair, partial redesign or rebuild, with a fixed written quote.

  2. Access and backups

Domain, hosting, analytics and Search Console access confirmed, and a full backup of the current site taken before anything changes.

  3. Content decisions

Every page marked keep, rewrite, merge or remove. We write the new and rewritten copy.

  4. Design approval

New designs for every key template on desktop and mobile. Nothing is built until you approve them.

  5. Build with the redirect map

The new site is developed on staging with redirects prepared and tested against the full URL list.

  6. Testing and launch

Real devices and browsers, forms and tracking, redirects checked in bulk. Then domain, SSL and sitemap submission.

  7. Monitoring and handover

Search Console checked for errors after launch, training and a recorded walkthrough for your team, and a support window.

Avoid these

Redesign mistakes that cost businesses traffic and enquiries

If you are planning a redesign with anyone, keep this list close.

Changing every URL for tidiness

Cleaner URLs are fine, but only with redirects. If the old structure works, keeping it removes a whole category of risk.

Launching with search engines blocked

A staging setting that tells search engines not to index the site is sometimes carried into the live site. Check it on launch day.

Forgetting the tracking

Old analytics and ad conversion tags removed with the old theme mean you cannot compare before and after.

Deleting blog posts that rank

An old article can be a steady source of visitors. Refresh it and keep its address rather than dropping it for looking dated.

Designing for the board, not buyers

A redesign driven by internal taste instead of how customers use the site often looks better and performs worse.

Leaving ownership unresolved

A redesign is the ideal moment to move the domain, hosting and logins into your company’s name. Do not repeat the old arrangement.

Frequently asked questions

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

It can if URLs change without redirects, or if content that ranked is removed. A careful redesign maps every old URL to its new address with permanent 301 redirects, keeps valuable content and checks Search Console after launch. Google states that 301 and other permanent redirects do not cause a loss in PageRank.

Can you fix my current site instead of rebuilding it?

Often, yes. Send us the address and we will say honestly whether it is worth repairing. Sometimes improving speed, restructuring the navigation and rewriting the homepage is enough, and that is a much smaller job than a rebuild.

Do we have to change platform?

Not necessarily. If your site is on WordPress and the problems are the theme and plugins, a new custom theme on the same platform may be the right call. We recommend moving platform only when the current one is the cause of the problems.

Can we keep our existing content?

Yes, where it earns its place. We review every page for traffic, links and usefulness, keep what performs, rewrite what is thin and merge pages that compete with each other. Copywriting for new and rewritten pages is included.

What if the previous agency controls our domain or hosting?

This is common and fixable, but start early. Ask them in writing to transfer the domain and hosting to your company's name. We can advise on what to request, and after the redesign every login is registered to you.

What does a website redesign cost in Dubai?

It depends on how much of the site changes, how many pages need redirects and rewriting, and whether integrations move too. You get a fixed written quote, scoped to you, usually within 45 minutes during business hours.
